The striped dress / Das gestreifte Kleid

When I bought this dress in June, it was still too cold to even think of wearing such a lightweight cotton cloth. Therefore I thought that I won’t wear it before our holidays at the end of August. But surprise, the weather warmed up and I couldn’t find a more suitable dress for the current heat wave. The perfect partners are of course a hairstyle that keeps the hair out of the neck and a straw hat for shade :)

These photos are still from my parent’s new garden in Ahlbeck. Since the town is literally built onto sand and they didn’t do any landscaping yet, I got (well, until further notice) my private beach directly in the backyard ^^

Als ich dieses leichte Baumwollkleid im Juni kaufte, war es noch so kalt, daß ich nicht glaubte es überhaupt im deutschen Sommer zu benötigen. Stattdessen legte ich es schon als mögliche Reisebekleidung in südlichere Gefilde fest. Doch Überraschung, es wurde wärmer und plötzlich konnte ich mir kein besseres Kleid für 30°C+ Wetter vorstellen. Dazu braucht man nur noch eine Frisur, die die Haare aus dem Nacken hält und einen Strohhut :)

Die Bilder entstanden im neuen Garten meiner Eltern in Ahlbeck. Das gesamte Seebad ist wortwörtlich auf Sand gebaut und dadurch kam ich in das Vergnügen eines Privatstrands (zumindest solange noch keine Muttererde aufgeschüttet wird) im eigenen Garten ^^
